There are four basic tasks you should be able to do with your survival gear. Namely, these are sheltered building, food gathering, starting a fire, and filtering water. While doing so, you will be able to strive for several days until help comes. Thus, the DIY paracord survival grenade is the mother of all survival gear allowing you to hunt, make shelter, start a fire, and even boil water.

5 Essential Supplies To Make A Paracord Survival Grenade

To start making your own survival grenade, you’ll need to know what survival tools to include. The tools needed for this project are very common and affordable, and just enough to help you in case of emergency situations.  In addition, you’ll need to know how to go about stitching the paracord around your survival kit. So start making your own DIY survival by following these tips on what to include and how to wrap a paracord around it!

1. Carabiner

First of all, you’ll need to have a carabiner for it to look like an actual grenade. Aside from aesthetics, there are lots of ways you can use a carabiner that it’s almost a staple item in survival kits.

2. Fishing/Trapping Gear

For food gathering items, a small fishing kit would be best. But this can be substituted with a snare wire and some small game trapping items.

3. Small LED Flashlight

When in need of a small light, the LED flashlight can help with the task. Since the sun isn’t there 24/7, you should prepare for when darkness comes and starting a fire is not an option.

4. Small Blade And Ferro Rod

While having a survival knife to carry around at all times is necessary, having a backup isn’t bad as well. You can include a small blade along with a Ferro rod for additional fire starting tools. If you want, you can also include some match sticks and striking sheet as well!

5. Tin Foil Sheet

Once you’re decided on what to include in your DIY survival kit, it’s time to wrap a tin foil around it. In addition to keeping the items dry, you can also use the sheet as a water container. Furthermore, you can even boil water in it!
