Canada is world-renowned for its ample number of resorts to accommodate every snowboarder and skier regardless of their skill level and experience. This destination will definitely grant anyone who is seeking an adrenaline-rushing experience. So on that note, below is a list of some of the most thrilling places for snowboarding in Canada.
1. Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia
Whistler and Blackcomb are two mountains combined to make up the largest ski resort in North America and arguably one of the best in the world. It offers snowboarders more than 200 marked runs with 16 alpine bowls, 37 lifts, and 3 glaciers over 3,000 hectares of incredibly awesome terrain.
Riders of every skill level and experience will have infinite opportunities for sheer excitement and thrill.
2. Big White, British Columbia
Last 2016, Big White bagged awards from Ski Canada Magazine’s Best of Skiing in Canada the “Best Family Resort”, “Best Snow”, and the “Best Grooming”.
Not only that, USA Today named Big White one of the best terrain parks in North America. How’s that for bragging rights? This giant skatepark covered in snow and a lot of trees is one of the prime spots every skill level will enjoy.
3. Revelstoke, British Columbia
Revelstoke is known for having the longest vertical in North America, 5,620 feet. Although this destination is labeled as a mountain for hardcore snowboarders and not suited for beginners and intermediate skill level, but that doesn’t mean these groups won’t find a suitable spot in its 3,121 acres of skiable terrain.
So if you want to get revved up and be stoked for a long period of time then you need to try Revelstoke.

4. Lake Louise/Banff, Alberta
Banff National Parks is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that constantly attracts snowboarders, skiers, and tourists all-year-round. Banff and Lake Louise offer 3 main resorts: Sunshine Village, Mt. Norquay, and Lake Louise Mountain Resort.
During winter, this destination transforms into a monstrous snow playground for every snowboarding and skiing fanatics can savor.
5. Mont Tremblant, Tremblant, Quebec
Ski Magazine recently awarded Mont-Tremblant as the number 1 Overall Resort in the East for their 2017 rankings. Nestled in Laurentian Mountains, this spot captivates skiers and snowboarders with its diverse terrain, faultless grooming, and the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Lac Tremblant.
6. Le Massif, Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec
Le Massif de Charlevoix is the highest peak in Eastern Canada with a 770-meter vertical drop. It’s Canada’s version of the Rockies. This destination offers over 40 alpine run, the longest is more or less 5 km long.
It also has dedicated snowboarding areas. And other than snowboarding, it also has cross-country, ice climbing, and a whole lot more making this spot must-try for every outdoor aficionado especially those who love the alpines.
7. Kicking Horse Resort, Golden, British Columbia
Kicking Horse sprawls 15 km up the hill in the blue-collar town of Golden. This well-recognized destination offers North America’s fourth highest vertical drop reaching 1,260 meters. It is once a heli-ski area of alpine bowls, challenging ridgelines, and jaw-dropping chutes that will trigger the excitement of every serious and experienced rider.
